BOSTON— South Asian Showdown will present fusion and Hindi film teams from across the country in Boston on Feb. 4.

“If you like South Asian Dance and want to see some of the most competitive dance teams in North America, don’t miss South Asian Showdown,” South Asian Showdown founder Rohit Bhambi said in a statement. “The last seven years have sold out and this year will be no different.”

South Asian Showdown comprises the best Fusion and Bollywood dance teams from North America. These different dance forms makeup some of the most popular dance forms in India.

The national competition will be held on Saturday, February 4th, 2017 at the John Hancock Hall in Boston.

The concept of Showdown is to showcase the best Fusion and Hindi-Film teams on one stage.  Bollywood represents the Mumbai movie industry and the story lines that come with it.  South Asian fusion brings all styles of dance together on one stage to showcase the talents of South Asian dancers.

“Bring these dance forms together in this competition and witness how explosive and entertaining South Asian dance can truly be,” Bhambi said.

South Asian Showdown, SAS for short, will have teams from all over North America competing to be crowned the Showdown Champion.  Teams from Pennsylvania, Kansas, Florida, New Jersey, California, Missouri, Texas, Virginia and Boston will all show the Boston audience some of the best dances they have seen all year, says Bhambi.
