DRACUT, MA–The 346th Shri Raghavendra Swami Aradhana Mahotsava will be celebrated by NE SRS Brundavan and is a free event open to all.  The event will be celebrated at the Sadhu Vaswani Center in Dracut, MA,  on Aug 12th, 2017 from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.

Shri Raghavendra Swami is a 16th century saint and is believed to be the incarnation of Prahallad and a prominent guru of the lineage of Madhwacharya. He entered Jeeva Samadhi at Mantralayam in Andhra Pradesh and is believed to live in a metaphysical form for 700 years – Devotees continue to feel his presence in many different ways and for this reason, he is considered to be the Kalpavruksh or Kamadhenu of the Kaliyug.

This traditional religious event will be led by a priest, who is being flown in especially for this event. Devotees may opt to perform one or more sevas at the event. The event is a feast to the eyes with 108 Kalashas for the Ksheerabdhi Seva, a grand Pallaki procession and a beautifully handcrafted Jhoola or Oonjal. The special prasad of this saint called Parimala Prasad will be coming directly from the main Mantralayam temple in India and will be available free for all.

Besides the religious sevas, the event will feature music, dance, instrumental music etc. Students of the Gnana Kalpavruksha classes organized under the NE SRS Brundavan banner will also do debut performance and recite the Venkatesh Stotra. The biggest draw of the event is a very elaborate plantain leaf lunch spread, cooked and served in traditional manner FREE for everyone. This tradition of feeding one and all for FREE was put in place by Shri Raghavendra Swami and this is an experience unto itself.

Last year, this Aradhana was celebrated for the first time and an unexpected 400+ people turned up for the event. This year, people are expected to come from not just the Greater Boston area but CT, NH, ME, NY and potentially some parts of Canada and the midwest.  There will also be a small vendor area featuring jewelry, clothing, Henna and other business representation too.

Please RSVP and attend this grand and magical event. RSVPs are requested by Aug 7th to help organizers plan for the event – http://ne-srsbrundavan.org/rsvp/
