BURLINGTON, MA– Saheli, the support and friendship for South Asian women and families, is hosting its annual Mehndi fundraiser on Sunday, March 20 at Sons of Italy Hall in Woburn, MA, Saheli officials said.
“In years past, this women and young girls’ event has been sold-out and is aimed at spreading the word about Saheli among Pakistani, Bangladeshi, Nepali and South Asian Muslim communities,” said Saheli President Gouri Banerjee.
The event is being organized by a team of long-time Saheli volunteers: Farhat Rangwalla and Masooma Bhaiwala.
It will be a fun-filled afternoon with laughter, music, dance, and excellent South Asian food. The event will be rounded off with women and young girls having their hands decorated with intricate Mehndi designs while learning how to get involved more with Saheli.
Women and girls of all national origins are welcome to this ladies afternoon out. Tickets are $30 per person.
