BOSTON— Raminder Luther, Dean of the Bertolon School of Business at Salem State University, will join the distinguished panel at the upcoming Vidya Bharati event on July 23, 2025, at the Burlington Marriott in Burlington, MA.

The panel, focused on leveraging the Indian diaspora’s expertise to drive education reform in India, will feature top academics and changemakers discussing how technology can bridge educational gaps across underserved communities.

The event will be moderated by Satish Jha, former Editor of the Times of India Group and a long-time advocate for educational reform. Other featured panelists include Prof. Ujjayant Chakravorty of Tufts University and Prof. M.S. Vijay Kumar of MIT.

Luther brings a wealth of academic leadership and research experience to the conversation. Her insights into financial literacy, education equity, and community empowerment are expected to offer a unique dimension to the panel’s exploration of scalable, tech-enabled solutions for India’s learning ecosystem.

She joined Salem State University in 1998 and is currently the Dean of the Bertolon School of Business. Prior to her current position, she was a member of the faculty in the Department of Accounting and Finance, where she taught multiple undergraduate and graduate-level finance courses and was the recipient of the McNamara Award for Excellence in Teaching.

During her tenure at Salem State, she has served as the graduate program coordinator, chaired over ten faculty-led committees—including the School of Business Steering Committee—and has been an active member of the university’s tenure, promotion, and budget committees.
