SHREWSBURY— New England welcomes its largest Hare Krishna temple in Shrewsbury, MA, offering a beautiful landscape and enriched community across nine acres of land.

The Sri Sri Radha Damodar Mandir, located at 226R Grafton St., honors the teachings and vision imparted by His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada. By upholding his mission of spreading Krishna consciousness and fostering spiritual growth, the temple attracts seekers of divine wisdom and enlightenment.

What it makes up in size, it does not lack in grandeur. Vibrant in color and in culture, the newly established temple stuns visitors with its ode to Rajasthani architecture and sprawling green lawns.

Its beautifully constructed altar, crafted in Jaipur, honors exquisite deities, including Sri Sri Radha Damodara (moola and utsavar), Sri Sri Gaura Nitai (moola and utsavar), and Srila Prabhupada.

The two-story temple contains many more features such as a spacious temple hall, purpose-built preparatory rooms for religious articles, classrooms, and an outdoor balcony.

Upon its opening, the temple held a four-day inauguration filled with feasts, celebrations, ceremonies, along with a thoughtful panel discussion. The panel discussion offered spiritual insights from HG Madhu Pandit Dasa, HG Jai Chaitanya Dasa, and HG Bhakti Lata Devi Dasi, sparking conversations and promoting a deeper understanding of Krishna consciousness.

Among other esteemed guests, HG Chanchalapathi Dasa, HG Kulashekara Chaitanya Dasa, Senator Mike Moore, Harvard Professor Francis X. Clooney, Cardiologist Ram Emani, and Associate Dean of MIT Thea Keith Lucas were all in attendance to commemorate the occasion.

The event featured performances by the Lasya School of Dance, The Sruthilayalu group, and soul-stirring Kirtans led by students from Harvard University.
