Akshaya Patra’s Annual Boston Gala, Scheduled for April 28, Sold Out

Burlington, MA – The Akshaya Patra Foundation USA, which combats classroom hunger and facilitatwa educational opportunities for over 2.2 million children daily across India, announced that this year’s Boston Gala has been sold out.

Being held on Sunday, April 28 at the Burlington Marriott in Birington, MA, this gala not only underscores community involvement but also gathers substantial support for its enduring mission: “No child shall be deprived of education due to hunger.”

Akshaya Patra’s wheels of 72 kitchens keep turning, reaching 16 States and 2 Union Territories across India in over 24,000 schools. The Boston gala will bring together leaders, philanthropists, and community members in a heartfelt evening filled with purpose and dedication.

The keynote speaker for the evening will be Neeli Bendapudi, President, Penn State University along with Board Member, Entrepreneur and Philanthropist Desh Deshpande. Akshaya Patra annual gala Emcee, Vinita Khilnani, is an actor, comedian, improvisor and singer based in Los Angeles, CA.

The event is coordinated by Boston Chapter Co-Chairs Ajita Bhat, Bela Chandok, Rajeev Jain, Samantha Ganglani, Yoshika Sherring, and Venkat Kolluri, with support from Chapter Advisor Rakesh Kamdar and other dedicated committee members Dr. Manju Sheth, Neena Grover, Dr. Smita Patel, Nidhi Singhal and many more.
