Neil Misra Wins Democratic Primary for New Hampshire House of Representatives

SALEM, NH–Neil Misra, a young Indian American of Salem NH, won the New Hampshire Democratic primary on September 13th and advances to the general election on November 8th, 2022.

Mr. Misra is running for the New Hampshire House of Representatives from Salem
district (Rockingham 25) as a Democratic candidate.

He is a George Washington University graduate (summa cum laude) with a general course year at the London School of Economics. He has a master’s degree in International Relations from Cambridge University and a master’s degree in South Asian Studies from Oxford University.

While at Oxford, he served as the Vice President of the Oxford Student Union. During his undergraduate studies, he interned for Congresswoman Ann Kuster (NH District 2).

Mr. Misra is running to bring a much-needed change in perspective to the legislature and governance. He is committed to reproductive freedom by keeping abortion legal, reducing electricity bills by switching to lower-cost renewables sources, and strengthening public school systems by abolishing reckless voucher programs in New Hampshire.

He is a choice for a better future. US Congressmen Ro Khanna and Raja Krishnamoorthi have expressed support for his campaign, along with the American Federation of Teachers (NH).

Mr. Misra is the son of Alok and Suniti Misra and is proud of his Indian roots.
