WESTON, MA—With about 45 musicians and artists and more than 800 attendees, the 11th annual Music festival organized by LearnQuest Academy of Music was largest ever, according to LearnQuest officials.
The three day music conference and festival was held March 25-27 at Regis College in Weston, MA. Classical musician and Sarod legend Ustad Amjad Ali Khan was the main featured artist. The conference ended with program by tabla legend Zakir Hussain at Sanders Theater in Cambridge, MA. This program was organized in collaboration with World Music.
“It was the largest conference in terms of attendees,” said Pradeep Shukla, president of Waltham, MA-based LearnQuest. “There were also a number of musicians who played for the first time at the festival.”
The conference was preceded by a series of education lecture-demonstration at Boston University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Berklee College of Music.
