Hub of Myths Announces Second Production, ‘Ramleela – Reimagined,’ at Regis College in Weston

Community theater group builds on its debut success with a fresh interpretation of the epic Ramayana, bringing together volunteers, performers and audiences across New England.

WESTON, Mass. — Hub of Myths, an amateur theater group dedicated to bringing the world’s great mythological stories and epics to the stage, will present its second theatrical production, Ramleela – Reimagined, on Sunday, October 18, at 3 p.m. at Regis College in Weston, MA.

Following its debut production of the Ramayana, the group is returning with a new interpretation of the timeless story of Ramleela, combining traditional themes with an imaginative theatrical approach. The production aims to build on the creativity, collaborative spirit and community participation that shaped the organization’s inaugural performance.

Directed by Bhavna Patel Shah and Sakshi Sibal, Ramleela – Reimagined will bring together drama, movement, music and visual storytelling in a production designed to appeal to families, younger audiences and longtime admirers of the epic. The creative team seeks to honor the story’s enduring themes while presenting them through a fresh theatrical lens.

Founded as an amateur theater initiative, Hub of Myths aims to make the performing arts accessible to people across the community, regardless of their previous theater experience. Its first production provided an opportunity for cast and crew members to learn new skills, explore creative roles and work together to bring a major mythological narrative to life.

The second production continues that approach, with the group encouraging community members to participate both onstage and behind the scenes. Opportunities include acting, producing, set creation, stage coordination, marketing, costume design and other production roles. No professional theater background is required; the group welcomes individuals willing to contribute their time, creativity and enthusiasm.

Beyond the performances themselves, Hub of Myths hopes to build a lasting community around storytelling and live theater. By inviting newcomers to take part in the creative process, the organization aims to foster collaboration, cultural connection and greater participation in the local arts scene.

The group also acknowledged the financial supporters whose contributions helped establish the organization and sustain its mission. Their generosity helps cover the practical costs of staging productions while allowing the group to work toward keeping ticket prices accessible. Community members interested in supporting future performances will have opportunities to contribute through the organization’s fundraising campaign.

With Ramleela – Reimagined, Hub of Myths is seeking to expand on the momentum of its debut and introduce more New England residents to the experience of community theater. The production brings together a familiar epic, a volunteer-driven creative effort and an invitation for audiences and aspiring performers alike to become part of the journey.

The performance is scheduled for Sunday, October 18, at 3 p.m. at Regis College.
