Hindi Poets Surendra Sharma, Sampat Saral and Sita Sagar Charm Bostonians

BURLINGTON, MA—Renowned for their humor and minute observations of daily life in the hustles and bustles of India,  India’s three Hindi poets charmed the Indian-American Bostonians earlier this month in Burlington. MA.

A hilarious evening full of “Vyang” and humorous poetry was organized on Oct. 3 at the Academy of Creative Arts in Burlington. The three poets were:  – Padam Shri Surendra Sharma, Sampat Saral and Sita Sagar. They regaled the audiences with excellent poetry and satire, organizers of the event said in a statement.

The fun-filled evening drew packed audiences of nearly 270 wanting to give it all up and laugh and enjoy in the company of good friends, good food and of course fun poetry, the statement said.

The event was sponsored by Masala Art, Kaypee Jewelers, Academy of Creative Arts, Bhati and Bhatia Associates and Tanna Insurance. The program was produced by Praveen Misra. Other organizers included Saraswati Mathur, Syed Ali Rizvi, Leenam Dalal, Harish Dang, Sanjay Jain, Sanjay Kau,  Mahesh Goel , Anil Chawla, Ashu Patel, Rajesh Bhutani , Anil Mehrotra. Media partners were INDIA New England News, Lokvani  and Radio MusicIndia.

The program initiated by emceeing by Praveen Misra and Syed Ali Rizvi. They shared some anecdotes and poetry. The theme of the evening ranged from social-political issues to economy to husband-wife “nok-jhok” to heart touching patriotic poetry. There was something for everyone.
