Four UK Universities in India Invite Employers to Recruit Postgraduate Talent Ahead of 2027 Graduation
NEW DELHI–Four UK universities operating campuses in India are inviting employers to interview and recruit more than 250 postgraduate students graduating in 2027 through the first UK Universities Placement Week, scheduled for the end of November 2026.
Convened by global education company Emeritus, the initiative brings together founding postgraduate cohorts from the University of Bristol Mumbai Enterprise Campus, University of York Mumbai, University of Liverpool Bengaluru and University of Aberdeen Mumbai. Employers will have an opportunity to interview students and extend job offers before their graduation.
The participating students represent disciplines including finance, technology, artificial intelligence, management and creative industries. The cohorts comprise fresh graduates as well as professionals with an average of 2.4 to three years of prior work experience, with backgrounds in banking, financial services, IT, consulting, accounting, marketing, analytics, media and design.
Students also gain practical experience through live projects and industry tools. Their training includes applying AI and automation to financial analysis, auditing, risk management, business analysis and operations. The University of Bristol’s MA Immersive Arts programme also prepares students for opportunities in immersive design and creative technology.
Professor Michelle Jones, Director and Executive Dean of the University of Bristol Mumbai Enterprise Campus, said the initiative would connect employers with students who bring academic knowledge, practical experience and the ability to adapt to workplace challenges.
The provosts of the other participating universities also welcomed the initiative, highlighting its potential to strengthen connections between postgraduate education and industry requirements. They said employers would gain early access to emerging talent with relevant academic and professional experience.
Ganesh S, CHRO of Emeritus, said the initiative aimed to help employers engage with talent earlier, improve hiring quality and create an additional recruitment window beyond India’s traditional campus hiring season. He added that the programme could eventually expand to include employers from selected international markets.
The four campuses operate under University Grants Commission regulations for foreign higher education institutions introduced as part of India’s National Education Policy 2020. Their curricula and academic assessment standards are aligned with their respective UK home universities, and students receive the same qualifications as their counterparts in the UK.
Employers interested in participating can submit their requests by mid-November 2026 to placements@emeritus.org. A central placement committee will review applications, assess organisational hiring requirements and coordinate student screening. Shortlisted employers will be invited to interview candidates online or in person across the four campuses and extend offers ahead of the 2027 graduation.
