Dr. Nirav Shah Launches Final Get Out the Vote Push with Bangor Rally

BANGOR, Maine — With just over a week remaining before Maine voters head to the polls, gubernatorial candidate Dr. Nirav Shah is kicking off the final phase of his Democratic primary campaign with a Get Out the Vote event in Bangor on Monday evening.

The rally marks the beginning of the campaign’s statewide effort to mobilize supporters, volunteers and undecided voters ahead of Election Day as Shah seeks to build momentum during the race’s closing days.

Since entering the gubernatorial contest, Shah has traveled extensively across Maine, holding public town halls, taking unscreened questions from residents and outlining policy proposals aimed at addressing some of the state’s most pressing challenges. His campaign has focused on lowering costs for Maine families while strengthening public services and economic opportunities across the state.

Campaign officials say the Bangor event will serve as a launching point for a final voter outreach effort designed to connect directly with voters before ballots are cast.

Supporters and volunteers are expected to join Shah as he discusses the stakes of the election, the campaign’s momentum heading into the final week, and opportunities for residents to get involved in voter outreach efforts.

During the event, Shah is expected to highlight key elements of his platform, including proposals to reduce the cost of housing, health care and energy, protect reproductive rights, strengthen rural communities and improve government responsiveness to the needs of Maine residents.

The event comes as candidates across the state intensify their campaigns in the final days before the Democratic gubernatorial primary, with voter turnout expected to play a significant role in determining the outcome.

The Bangor Get Out the Vote stop will take place at Franklin Haus, located at 25 Franklin Street, beginning at 5 p.m. Monday.

Campaign organizers say the event is open to supporters and community members interested in learning more about Shah’s vision for Maine and helping with the campaign’s final voter engagement efforts.
