ANDOVER, MA—INDIA New England News, the region’s largest and oldest print, online and video magazine,  released a 22-minute documentary on Chinmaya Mission Boston.  “Discovering Chinmaya Mission Boston” documentary was produced in collaboration with INE MultiMedia and Chinmaya Mission Boston.

“We would like to thank Chinmaya Mission Boston and its team for their time and allowing us to film on its premises and locations,” said Upendra Mishra, who produced and directed the documentary. “We would especially like to thank Madhusudhan Akkihebbal  of Chinmaya Mission Boston for tirelessly working with our team on this project.”

In 22 minutes of film, the Discovering Chinmaya Mission Boston captures the essence of the role that the mission has played in the lives of thousands of people in the area.

“What started as a few classes in the basement of a home has now become a thriving center of activities, education, spirituality, culture, art and events,” said Mishra. “We are very excited to release this documentary as the Chinmaya Mission Boston family celebrates  Swami Chinmayananda’s 100th birthday on May 8.”

In addition to its main temple and facility in Andover, MA, Chinmaya Mission Boston also runs satellite centers in Newton and Westborough in Massachusetts, and in Dover, NH. The Mission conducts classes and provides value based-education for children from ages 4 through 18, called Bala Vihar, including youth group classes for teenagers, and a study group called Satsang for adults.

Chinmaya Mission Boston offers language classes in Sanskrit, Hindi, Kannada, Marathi, Gujarati, Tamil and Telugu at is Andover facility.  Due to the high demand, classes are conducted in two sessions in Andover, MA and one session at Westborough, MA and one session at Newton, MA.

Chinmaya Mission Boston today has an auditorium with luxury seating for 375 people, a large stage and a state-of-the-art sound system, a beautiful Mandir with Lord Hanuman, Durga Mata, Lord Ganesha and Ram Parivar with a brand new Sanctum Sanctorum. Other features include a community hall which seats 120 people in a formal setting and 150 people in an informal setting, and a breathtaking front lobby with marble floors to welcome your guests.
