Raveena Tandon Recalls How She Broke the Ice With Karisma Kapoor on ‘Andaz Apna Apna’
Mumbai — Raveena Tandon has recalled how a prank on the set of “Andaz Apna Apna” helped break the ice between her and co-star Karisma Kapoor.

Appearing on “India’s Best Dancer” Season 5, Raveena said the cast, which also included Aamir Khan and Salman Khan, often had complicated personal equations but came together because of their shared commitment to the film.
She remembered one night shoot when she and Karisma were tied back-to-back to a pillar for a scene. During a dinner break, the crew decided to prank them by leaving the set while the two remained tied up.
Raveena said the awkward silence finally ended when she asked Karisma if she wanted juice. Karisma replied that she was hungry, and the two began talking.
Raveena also said the cast frequently laughed during filming despite their differences.
Karisma, meanwhile, recalled shooting the song “Ye Raat Aur Ye Doori,” saying the four lead actors were still relatively new to the industry and that the film became an important learning experience.
“Andaz Apna Apna,” directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, went on to become a cult comedy.
Rasika Dugal Says Career Gained Momentum After 2016
Mumbai — Actress Rasika Dugal has reflected on the decade-long journey before her career gained greater recognition, saying her work became more consistent around 2016 and 2017.

“From the time work became more continuous, it was between 2016-17,” she said.
Rasika cited films such as “Qissa” and “Kshay” among her earlier projects, but said a major shift came after 2016 with “Manto,” “Mirzapur” and “Delhi Crime” arriving in quick succession.
She credited the growth of streaming platforms with creating more opportunities and said the period felt like the beginning of a broader movement in the industry.
Rasika’s latest release is “Mirzapur: The Movie,” directed by Gurmmeet Singh and featuring returning cast members including Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Divyenndu and Shweta Tripathi.
