Priyanka trips, clasps Nick’s arm, avoids fall

Los Angeles– She tripped and almost fell, but his biceps saved her. That’s just what happened with Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Nick Jonas on a recent outing.

In a video doing the rounds, Nick and Priyanka are seen keeping to their routine of walking hand in hand on a stairway. While Priyanka, dressed in black, was busy waving to fans, happy to see the couple, she tripped.

But Nick was by her side in her “oops” moment. She held on to his arm and regained her balance, with a huge smile on her face, followed by a laugh.

It is one of those moments that has made Nick and Priyanka one of the most watched out among the celebrity couples on the social media.

Their wedding in Jodhpur last December drew widespread global media attention. The couple recently featured together in Jonas Brothers’ comeback single “Sucker”.

Lots of positive stuff for female stars in showbiz: SRK

London– Shah Rukh Khan feels the attitude towards women is changing for good in India. The Indian superstar says there are lots of positive developments for female actors in the film industry.

The actor expressed his views on the changing gender dynamics in Indian entertainment industry in an interview to BBC Asian Network. He was in London to receive an honorary doctorate in Philanthropy from The University of Law, London.

“The roles of women and the kind of attitude you have at the workplace for women is changing for positive,” Shah Rukh is seen saying in the video shared on the official Twitter handle of BBC Asian Network.

“There will be discrepancies and ups and downs too. There were times when I was working in the 1990s that if a lady got married, she normally did not have the opportunity to come back and act in a film.

“But now they are married and acting in films and its so seamless and nice, so I think lots of positive stuff for female actors in the film industry,” he added.

On the film front, Shah Rukh has failed to generate box office hits despite his wide fan following and ‘superstar’ status. With “Dilwale”, “Fan”, “Raees”, “Jab Harry Met Sejal” and last year’s “Zero”, Shah Rukh’s projects have failed to elicit the expected response back-to-back.

Sara Ali Khan chills in NYC with friends

Mumbai– After wrapping up a schedule of “Love Aaj Kal 2”, actress Sara Ali Khan is on a vacation in New York with her friends, away from the eyes of the paparazzi.

But the young “Simmba” actress has been giving a glimpse into her holiday scenes via her Instagram page.

“Just wandering in the city of dreams. Thank you Booking.com for this exciting escape. Can’t wait to re-explore NYC,” she wrote with one picture in which she is seen walking on a colourful street in casuals.

Her Instagram stories give a hint into what else she has been up to.

One picture is from the Whitney Museum of American Art, while another is from L.A. Burdick Chocolates, and another from Laduree, Soho.

Allu Arjun announces three new projects on birthday

Chennai– Actor Allu Arjun, who hasnt had a release in two years, on Monday announced three new projects on the occasion of his 36th birthday.

Arjun announced a film each with directors Trivikram, Sukumar and Venu Sriram.

Arjun’s film with Trivikram will go on the floors later this month. It will mark his third outing with the filmmaker after “Julayi” and “Son of Sathyamurty”.

The makers of the film on Monday unveiled a special poster to announce their project with Arjun.

Arjun is teaming up with Sukumar for the third time in this yet-untitled project, currently dubbed as AA 20. Rashmika Mandanna has been finalised as the film’s leading lady.

Anuj Kohli celebrating Navratri off and on-screen

Mumbai– “Guddan Tumse Na Ho Payega” actor Anuj Kohli is happy fasting and celebrating Navratri both in reel and real life.

The nine-day Chaitra Navratri festival started on Saturday.

“I’m fasting and shooting for my show. Personally, I feel that cultures and traditions are part of life and our responsibility is to keep them alive. Fasting and offering prayers are most beautiful traditions,” Anuj said in a statement.

“I’ll be shooting for my show on a regular basis. Indoor shoots are going to be comfortable but if it’s outdoor, it will be a bit difficult,” he added.

On the work front, he has completed shooting for a Navratri special sequence for the show “Guddan Tumse Na Ho Payega”.

RGV to make acting debut with ‘Cobra’

Chennai– Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma has announced that he will be making his acting debut in his next bilingual project “Cobra”, which he will co-direct with Agasthya Manju.

The announcement comes just a week after the release of “Lakshmi NTR”, RGV’s film on the purpose of Lakshmi Parvathi in legendary actor and former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao’s (NTR) life.

On the occasion of his 57th birthday on Sunday, Varma took to Twitter to announce his next project.

“Ahem! On the occasion of my birthday today, I am debuting as an actor for the first time in my career. I wouldn’t mind if you don’t bless me. Thanks,” Varma tweeted and also shared the first look poster of the film.

According to the poster, the film is a biopic based on “the most dangerous criminal ever”. The poster also featured the line, referring to the titular character in the film. “If he’s arrested half the police department will be thrown into jail.” (IANS)
