Deepika Padukone mobbed at Lalbaugcha Raja Ganpati pandal
Mumbai– Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone recently got mobbed at a ganpati pandal.
Deepika visited Mumbai’s famous Lalbaugcha Raja Ganpati pandal to seek blessings of the God. As soon as the crowd got to know that the “Piku” star was in the pandal, they rushed to catch a glimpse of the actress.
She was spotted in a golden heavy embroidered sari and big earrings. Deepika completed the look with her hair tied into a sleek bun and minimum make-up.
According to reports, Deepika’s bodyguards had a tough time escorting the 33-year-old star for a darshan.
On the work front, Deepika will next be seen in Meghna Gulzar’s ‘Chhapaak’, a film based on acid attack survivor, Laxmi Agarwal. She will also be seen in Kabir Khan’s “’83”.
Akshay, Randeep pay tribute to Saragarhi bravehearts
Mumbai– Bollywood actors Akshay Kumar and Randeep Hooda have paid a tribute to the 21 Sikhs who fought valiently against 10,000 Afghan tribesmen as it was Saragarhi Day on Thursday.
Earlier this year, Akshay starred in “Kesari”, which is based on the historic battle of Saragarhi. He took to Twitter to pay his tribute.
“My tributes to the bravehearts of the 36th Sikh Regiment, 21 Against 10,000…a sacrifice which will forever be etched in the pages of history and our hearts. Saragarhi Day,” wrote Akshay.
The Battle of Saragarhi was fought before the Tirah Campaign of September 1897 between the British Indian Empire and Afghan tribesmen. It took place in the North-West Frontier Province (now Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan).
Actor Randeep Hooda, whose film on the same topic was shelved, had reportedly said he had immersed himself in Sikhism for the film.
Randeep took to Twitter and wrote: “21 #Sikhs vs 10,000..1897..it was a certain inevitable death but the decision to take a stand inspite of the odds and not show their backs to the enemy marks this 6.5 hrs battle as one of the greatest last stands..Bole so nihal… Satsriakal.”
Is Alia Bhatt planning a homecoming party for Rishi Kapoor?
Mumbai– Now that Rishi Kapoor has returned from New York after cancer treatment, the Twitterati is abuzz with speculation if Alia Bhatt, rumoured girlfriend of the veteran actor’s son Ranbir Kapoor, is planning a homecoming party.
Speculations have been rife ever since a “Mumbai Mirror” report suggested Alia is keen to host a bash for Rishi Kapoor at her dad-filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt’s residence.
Rishi was in New York, undergoing treatment for cancer. He returned to the country after “11 months” on September 10.
A slew of family, friends, and celebrities from across the world, including Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Priyanka Chopra, and Karan Johar, have visited Rishi over the past months in the Big Apple.
Recently, Alia and Ranbir have made news sharing pics of their vacation in Kenya on social media.
On the acting front, Alia will next be seen in “Brahmastra” along with Ranbir Kapoor and Amitabh Bachchan. The film, directed by Ayan Mukerji, is a sci-fi fantasy adventure and reportedly first of a three-film series.
Ayushmann Khurrana sees his dream girl in wife Tahira
Mumbai– With the countdown to his next release “Dream Girl” already on, actor Ayushmann Khurrana took out time to post a pose with his real-life dream girl — wife Tahira Kashyap.
The actor took to Instagram to post a photo of the couple in which he is smiling and posing for the camera. Tahira, on the other hand, is holding on to him and looking down.
“With my #Dreamgirl @tahirakashyap”, Ayushmann captioned the pic.
Tahira reposted the snapshot and wrote: “But I thought I was with mine! We as a couple believe in balancing it out. When Harish meets Dream girl. #aboutlastnight #dreamgirl.”
Tahira had revealed that hubby Ayushmaan has given her the funny nickname of Harish, in an earlier IANS report.
She had shared two photographs. In the first, she strikes a pose against the sun, with an outline of her hair visible. In the second, she shared a picture of 1990s’ actor Harish Kumar.
She captioned the image: “That’s me right in the morning without any hair product and Ayushmann calls me Harish! For the longest time I could not recollect and found it cute in a weird way. You know at times you call people you love by different weird names… I thought it was that until… swipe for what I found! Look-alike anti-gravity hair.”
When Gauri Khan designed SRK’s look in ‘Baazigar’
Mumbai– Celebrity interior designer Gauri Khan on Thursday shared a still of actors Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol from their song “Ye kaali kaali aankhen”, revealing that she designed her husband’s look for the hit track.
“Can’t believe I designed this look in the 90s … Those jeans, legwarmer tee, bullet belt and a red shirt thrown over. The hand painted jeans were my favourite. Gauri khan designs has come a long way! Major throwback,” Gauri tweeted.
In the image, SRK is seen wearing a red loose shirt with a pair of painted jeans, while Kajol donned a pink dress.
“Ye kaali kaali aankhen” from the 1993 movie “Baazigar” was composed by Anu Malik.
Swara Bhasker loses footwear during Ganpati darshan
Mumbai– “Veere Di Wedding” star Swara Bhasker lost her footwear when she went to Lalbaugcha Raja Ganpati pandal here, and she added a funny twist to it by saying that it gave her a chance to show her true devotion.
The actress took to Twitter to share her experience of visiting Lalbaughcha Raja pandal. She was wearing her Kolhapuri flats when she visited the pandal, but couldn’t find them while coming back. She had to return barefoot.
“Because what’s a darshan to Mumbai’s iconic #LalbaughchaRaja if you don’t lose your shoes?#sachcheybhakt,” she posted with a video.
In the video, Swara, in her bright ensemble, is seen walking barefoot to her car.
On the work front, she will next be seen in Faraz Arif Ansari’s LGBTQ drama “Sheer Qorma”.
Impossible to say no to shows like ‘Naagin’: Angad Hasija
Mumbai– Actor Angad Hasija has shown interest in supernatural shows. He says it’s impossible to say no to shows such as “Daayan” and “Naagin”.
Talking about supernatural shows, he said: “Right now, these shows are going strong and so, it’s impossible to say no to shows such as ‘Daayan’ and ‘Naagin’. People are liking these shows. So, I can’t say no to such shows and whenever I will get the opportunity, I will work on them. Also, I have never done these type of shows. I would love to do them.”
Meanwhile, Angad has done three seasons of the web series “Ishq Aaj Kal”.
“The experience was very good and different as the shoot was done in real locations. I enjoyed a lot with my co-actors as I bonded with them. In fact, everyone enjoyed a lot which made the experience very good,” he said.
Yuvraj Malhotra bags role of reality show producer
Mumbai– Actor Yuvraj Malhotra will essay the role of a reality show producer in the show “Tara from Satara”.
The show’s lead character Tara is here for a dance reality show in which her sister has participated and Yuvraj will be seen as the creator of this show.
“I would be seen as the producer of a reality show and I would be the one instrumental in deciding the future of this reality show as well as the contestants. I have already started shooting for the show,” Yuvraj said. (IANS)
