Ahluwalia and Soni Make to the 40 Under 40 List of the Boston Business Journal

BOSTON—Boston Business Journal released its list of ‘40 Under 40’ this week, which includes two Indian-Americans:  Manik Ahluwalia of Aqueduct Technologies and Manmeet Soni of ARIAD Pharmaceuticals.

Ahluwalia is president and CEO of Aqueduct Technologies, a Boston-based technology solutions provider focused on helping customers leverage technology to solve their business challenges. Aqueduct specializes in networking, security, communications, servers and storage, among others.

Aqueduct has received a number of awards and recognitions, including: Boston Business Journal Best Places to Work, Boston Globe Best Places to Work, Boston Business Journal Fastest Growing Companies, and INC 5000 Fastest Growing Companies. Ahluwalia founded Aqueduct Technologies in 2011.

Soni is Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Cambridge, MA-based ARIAD Pharmaceuticals.  He joined ARIAD in March this year.

Prior to ARIAD, Mr. Soni served as Chief Financial Officer of Pharmacyclics, having overall responsibility for finance, accounting, business development, procurement, IT, HR and commercial operations. Before taking over CFO responsibility at Pharmacyclics, he also served as Corporate Controller. Pharmacyclics was acquired by AbbVie, Inc. in May 2015.

Before joining Pharmacyclics in 2012, Soni worked at ZELTIQ Aesthetics Inc., where he served as controller and Senior Director of Finance. He began his career at PriceWaterhouseCoopers, India in 2001 and then in 2007, moved to PriceWaterhouseCoopers San Jose, in the Life Science and Venture Capital Group. Soni graduated from Hansraj College at Delhi University in India.
