Jubin Nautiyal Thanks PM Modi for Featuring His Krishna Bhajan on Janmashtami

Mumbai — Playback singer Jubin Nautiyal has expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi after his devotional song “Shri Krishna Govind Hare Murari” was featured in the prime minister’s Janmashtami message.

Modi shared a Janmashtami post on Friday featuring the bhajan as part of a video marking the birth of Lord Krishna.

“It’s truly an honour that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has once again chosen one of my songs to celebrate Shri Krishna this Janmashtami,” Nautiyal said. “Music finds its highest purpose when it becomes part of our nation’s shared emotions. Deeply grateful and humbled.”

The devotional track centers on themes of faith, surrender and devotion, with Nautiyal’s vocals giving the traditional bhajan a contemporary rendition.

The video shared by Modi shows him paying respects to Lord Krishna, with “Shri Krishna Govind Hare Murari” playing in the background.

The song was composed by Raaj Aashoo, with lyrics by Murali Agarwal. It is available on T-Series’ YouTube channel.

Modi also extended Janmashtami greetings Friday, highlighting Lord Krishna’s teachings on selfless action and expressing hope that the festival would bring positive energy and strength to people’s lives. (Source: IANS)
