Vee Technologies Delivers 3,000th Fire Truck Design for U.S. Market

BENGALURU, India — Engineering services firm Vee Technologies said it has completed the design of its 3,000th fire truck for the U.S. market, marking a milestone in a specialized segment shaped by complex and varying state-level regulations.

The Bengaluru- and Atlanta-headquartered company entered the U.S. fire truck design space about a decade ago, navigating challenges tied to differing fire codes across states and the diverse construction materials used in residential and commercial buildings, including high-rise structures.

The company said fire apparatus design must account for multiple operational demands, such as transporting firefighters to elevated locations, pumping water or fire-suppressant materials, and conducting rescue operations in emergencies.

Vee Technologies provides engineering design services aimed at improving reliability and response times in critical situations. Its engineers develop code-specific designs tailored to meet varying state requirements while maintaining compliance with global safety standards.

The firm is showcasing its capabilities at the Fire Department Instructors Conference International, which runs through April 25 at the Indiana Convention Center and Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

The engineering team relies on large datasets to optimize designs, ensuring precision, efficiency, and adaptability as safety standards evolve.

Industry estimates show that India’s engineering research and development segment, valued at about $63 billion, contributes more than one-fifth of the country’s over $300 billion in IT and business process management exports. The segment, driven by demand in areas such as automotive, telecommunications, and industrial manufacturing, is the second-largest contributor after IT services exports. (Source: IANS)
