BOSTON — As the school year kicks off and high school students begin mapping their futures, one Boston-based program is offering a unique opportunity to unlock their full potential through entrepreneurship.
TiE Boston’s Young Entrepreneurs (TYE) Academy is now accepting applications for its 2025 cohort — an 8-month hands-on program designed to cultivate leadership, creativity, and startup thinking among students in grades 9–12.
Backed by more than two decades of global impact, TYE has empowered thousands of students across 30+ cities and is recognized as a launchpad for budding innovators. This year’s in-person cohort will meet every other Saturday in Cambridge, Massachusetts, beginning in mid-October. But with registration closing soon, TiE Boston is urging parents, educators, counselors, and students to act quickly and nominate future changemakers.
“TYE isn’t just about learning business,” said Adam Carter, Program Director of TYE Boston. “It’s about helping students believe in their ideas, collaborate with peers, and build the kind of problem-solving mindset that today’s world demands.”
Participants will form teams to develop original startup concepts, work directly with experienced founders and industry professionals, and receive ongoing mentorship tailored to their goals. The program culminates in a Final Pitch Competition in May 2026, where teams present their ventures and compete for seed funding — mirroring the high-stakes world of real entrepreneurship.
But beyond pitching and prototypes, the real value lies in the personal growth. Students gain practical skills like market research, business modeling, and customer feedback, while also developing critical “soft skills” such as communication, adaptability, resilience, and leadership.
Whether a student dreams of launching the next big tech startup or simply wants to grow as a leader and thinker, TYE provides a powerful foundation.
