Vedang Rana Shares Acoustic Version of ‘Maskara’ From ‘Main Vaapas Aaunga’

MUMBAI, India — Actor Vedang Rana has shared his own acoustic rendition of “Maskara,” a track from Imtiaz Ali’s upcoming romantic drama “Main Vaapas Aaunga.”
Vedang posted a video on Instagram from London, where he was seen sitting under a tree, singing the song and playing guitar.
“A day out in London. Can’t wait to hear your versions of Maskara,” he wrote, adding a white heart emoji.
The actor recently also shared a behind-the-scenes glimpse from “Maskara,” which showcased his chemistry with co-star Sharvari.
Vedang expressed gratitude to director Imtiaz Ali, composer A. R. Rahman and lyricist Irshad Kamil in a note posted on Instagram.
“I cant put into words how much all this means to me. @imtiazaliofficial @arrahman @irshadkamilofficial these are artists that have shaped my understanding of music and film. To get an opportunity to sing Maskara and then live it through Imtiaz sir’s lens as Keenu, is something I can’t still really process. Just grateful beyond imagination. Keenu coming soon,” he wrote.
Several Bollywood celebrities praised the song online. Alia Bhatt, who starred with Vedang in “Jigra,” called it “So so lovely” and also praised his chemistry with Sharvari in the track. Vedang responded to her comment with heart emojis.
“Main Vaapas Aaunga” stars Vedang, Diljit Dosanjh, Sharvari and Naseeruddin Shah in key roles.
The film reunites Imtiaz Ali, A. R. Rahman and Irshad Kamil, who previously worked together on “Amar Singh Chamkila,” “Tamasha” and “Rockstar.”
Backed by Applause Entertainment, along with Mohit Choudhary and Shibasish Sarkar of Window Seat Films, “Main Vaapas Aaunga” is scheduled to open in theaters on June 12. (Source: IANS)
