Hyderabad– Actor Nara Rohith is all set to return to the big screen with his milestone 20th film, ‘Sundarakanda’, which is slated for a worldwide theatrical release on August 27, coinciding with Ganesh Chaturthi, the makers announced on Friday.
The announcement was made as part of the actor’s birthday celebrations, adding to the excitement among his fans.
Directed by Venkatesh Nimmalapudi, Sundarakanda is a romantic drama that promises a heartfelt, humorous look at life and love. Produced by Santhosh Chinnapolla, Gowtham Reddy, and Rakesh Mahankalli under the banner of Sandeep Picture Palace (SPP), the film explores love across different phases of a man’s life.
The film’s teaser, released earlier, introduced audiences to Rohith’s character — a middle-aged bachelor navigating life with wit, warmth, and charm. The teaser hinted at a light-hearted tone, setting expectations for a refreshing, slice-of-life cinematic experience.
The release poster features Nara Rohith in dual timelines — one with Sridevi Vijaykumar, reflecting the innocence of first love, and the other with Vriti Vaghani, hinting at a mature, second-chance romance.
With its mid-week Wednesday release, Sundarakanda is positioned to take advantage of the long festive weekend.
