Sudesh Bhosale Shares School-Day Sketch of Vinod Khanna on Actor’s Birth Anniversary

Mumbai — Singer Sudesh Bhosale paid tribute to legendary actor Vinod Khanna on his birth anniversary Tuesday by sharing an ink sketch of the late star that he drew during his school days.
Bhosale posted the artwork on Instagram, recalling his longtime admiration for Khanna and the memories associated with the drawing.
“Remembering the legendary Vinod Khanna on his birth anniversary. One of my all-time favourite actors, whose screen presence, charisma and timeless performances continue to live on in our hearts,” Bhosale wrote.
The singer said he created the sketch while he was still in school and that seeing it again brought back memories from his younger years.
“A small sketch, but a lifetime of memories attached to it,” he wrote, adding, “Forever admired. Forever remembered.”
Khanna, known for his screen presence and performances across a career spanning several decades, remains one of Hindi cinema’s most celebrated actors.
Bhosale also has a professional connection to Khanna’s films. He lent his voice to “Aa Idhar Aa Meri Jaan, Main Ek Pagal Ladki Hoon” from the 1991 action film “Khoon Ka Karz,” which featured Khanna. The song, composed by Laxmikant-Pyarelal, was performed by Bhosale and Alka Yagnik.
Khanna was born on October 6, 1946, and would have turned 80 this year.
Several other celebrities also remembered the actor on his birth anniversary, including Jackie Shroff, who shared a photo montage featuring images from different stages of Khanna’s career.
“Fondly remembering Vinod Khanna ji on his birth anniversary! Always in our hearts,” Shroff wrote on social media.
Khanna died in Mumbai on April 27, 2017, at the age of 70. (Source: IANS)
