BOSTON– TRIA announced the hiring of Haril Pandya, FAIA, as Senior Principal. Pandya, a nationally recognized architect and industry leader, brings over three decades of experience in architectural design, building repositioning, and strategic practice growth.

Pandya’s appointment marks a significant step in TRIA’s evolution as the firm positions itself to expand into new market sectors while reinforcing its commitment to design excellence and community impact.

“Haril’s deep understanding of the industry, coupled with the strong relationships he has built over the years, make him an invaluable asset to the team,” said Sherwood Butler, President and CEO of TRIA. “TRIA is excited to grow and expand into new sectors with Haril’s leadership, vision, and experience guiding the way.”

Throughout his career, Pandya has led high-profile projects in adaptive reuse, repositioning, multifamily residential, workplace, hospitality, and retail. His work has reshaped urban landscapes across Boston and beyond, with more than 50 office building repositioning projects locally and 25 more nationwide under his leadership.

Prior to joining TRIA, Pandya served as Senior Vice President and Principal at Nelson, where he acted as National Practice Leader and was instrumental in expanding the firm’s Boston presence and national portfolio. Earlier, as a Principal at CBT Architects for 16 years, he helped lead one of the city’s most successful adaptive reuse practices, earning multiple awards and recognition for his transformative projects.

“I am excited to join TRIA at such an important and inspiring time in the firm’s journey,” said Pandya. “I believe in the power of design to create meaningful impact—both for clients and the broader community. At TRIA, I look forward to collaborating with a talented team to push the boundaries of what’s possible and create beautiful, purposeful solutions for the built environment.”

Pandya is a graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, where he earned both a Bachelor of Architecture and a Bachelor of Science. In addition to his design achievements, he is a certified Master Professional, Executive, and Life Coach. A creative at heart, Pandya is also an active musician, filmmaker, chef, and cyclist.

He gained national attention in 2015 with his TEDx talk, “The Death of the Corner Office,” which explored generational change and the evolution of workplace design.

As TRIA enters its next phase of growth, Pandya’s leadership is expected to play a key role in expanding the firm’s capabilities and influence in emerging sectors across the architectural landscape.
