1,200 People Join IANH Spring Celebration, Local Talents Honored

NASHUA, NH—About 1,200 people gathered to celebrate Spring at Nashua High School North in Nashua, NH, earlier this month. The event was organized by India Association of New Hampshire (IANS).

More than 400 performers joyously participated in the competitive dances and music performances as well as in the art competition. The event attracted a record number of crowd of about 1,200, IANH said in a statement.

“The spirit of celebration was very evident among  the community members, guests and performers who drove from the far off places to be part of  this unique celebration that lasted for the whole day,” the statement said.

The program started on time with the music segment followed by the dance segment. Tireless efforts of the entire IANH executive team as well as youth and adult volunteers was worth appreciating.

“This large-scale event was pulled together by the great teamwork effort of the entire exec team of the IANH officials, led by the IANH Cultural Chair, Jyoti Sharma along with the support of Mr. Balaji Radakrishnan – President, Mr. Manoj Chourasia – Vice-President, Dr. Tej Dhakar – Secretary, Mr. Anand Thippeswamy – Treasurer and other committee chairs:  Mr. Prasad Dabbi – Education, Ms. Vandana Dhakar Membership, Mr. Nagendra Bhanu – Public Relations, Ms. Barinder Ahluwalia – Public Service, Ms. Sushmita Anand – Youth Affairs, Mr. Aravind Patlolla – Web & Social, Executive Members – Mr. Ashish Bhardwaj, Ms. Parvathi Rao, Mr. Subrahmanyam Karedla,” the statement said.

The Vasant or Spring themed stage had set the perfect mood for all the performers by its grand look that was sponsored by Aneesha Karoday of TaranaOm Creations and assisted by the IANH volunteer team. The participants in their colorful costumes and beautiful props exhibited the best of their talents in dance and music. The bright colors and decor flared the entire ambience – right from the entrance to the stage. The Vasant Bazaar attracted hundreds of buyers to dozens of vendors and info booths to admire their products and services. The art contestant awed the crowd with their colorful artwork which added a unique charm with the display of best of their creativity, making it challenging for judges to pick the winners.

The occasion was graced by accomplished Judges and Gurus – Prashant Soni, Rama Rao, Poopy Charnalia, Valli Amaravadi, Vaishnavi Kondapalli, Shiva Ramakrishnan, Vaijayanthi Gopalakrishnan, Padma Loganathan, Shikha Bajpai, Hema Iyengar, Sunanda Sahay and Gopika Narula – who all drove from far-off places to help judge the Art, Music and Dance competitions with all their dedications and enthusiasm.

“Kudos to Teachers, Parents, and Choreographers for working hard and teaching their students. The efforts, patience, and cooperation exhibited by performers during the event sure deserved a big round of applause,” the statement said.
