Eight Super Moms and all of Them Either Physician, Software or IT Professionals to Present an Empowering Dance to Kick Off the Woman of the Year Awards Gala

BURLINGTON, MA—A group of eight super moms—all of whom are either a physician, software engineer or IT professional—will present an empowering dance to kick off the Woman of the Year Awards gala on Friday at Burlington Marriott Hotel in Burlington, MA.

“Behind every successful woman is a tribe of other successful women,” said Dr. Aparna Batla, a physician, mom and a trained Kuchipudi dancer who has choreographed this piece for the Woman of the Year gala. “Team Asthitva is going to take the audience on a journey of a tribe: a girl, a woman, a daughter, a sister, a wife, who has suffered through the depths of despair but never gives up and rises from the ashes with courage and self -determination. We hope you all identify with their message and enjoy the performance.”

Dr. Batla, who will also dance with the group, said that this special dance packs talent, hard work, athleticism, and movement to spell bound the audience’s imagination.

Dr. Batla will be joined by a group of seven accomplished women who are moms and have a passion for dance:

Ruchita Kothari: A busy mom software engineer with great passion for dance.

Rakhee Wagal: a mom and an IT professional who is passionate about dance and loves to spread the happiness by performing at different platforms.

Vasudha Kudrimoti:  An IT professional and accomplished dancer and choreographer believes that movement and rhythm are aspects not about the body but about the mind. For her, dance is a collaboration between the dancer and the audience.

Poonam Kamat:  A software engineer by profession, but one of her greatest hobbies has been dancing as it offers a sense of relaxation and creative expression.

Asha Nagaraja: IT professional /mom with great passion for dance.

Kali Priya Kommana: Software engineer, Zumba Instructor, learnt Odissi and Bharatnatyam dance forms. Bollywood divas late Sridevi and Madhuri Dixit are her inspirations; she continues her passion with group and solo performances.

Shubha Vijayesh: Mom and Software engineer who enjoys dance.

“Everyone on this planet is here because of their mother and slowly but surely every mom has become a supermom in multitasking and taking care of her family, profession and in serving the community in many ways,” said Dr. Manju Sheth, MD, hostess of the Woman of the Year Awards gala and president of INE Multimedia. “It is such an honor for us to present eight supermoms in a beautiful dance presentation focusing on Ashtitva of a woman.”
