Franchise Development Group is guiding Rangoli Grill through the franchising process.

Owners Gulshan and Rashmi Kumar have been operating Rangoli Grill at 8 Cornerstone Square in Westford, MA, for more than two years. During that time, they have developed a successful make-to-order Indian cuisine concept that includes wraps, rice bowls, salads, chaat (Indian street food), and snacks with a choice of fillings, fresh toppings and homemade chutneys.

Current plans call for the opening of several franchises in the Northeast, and to expand beyond that over the next few years, the statement said.

“We have taken a simple concept, perfected it and are now in a position to share tasteful, healthy, well-prepared Indian dishes with a mainstream audience that is embracing ethnic foods more than ever. The Rangoli Grill dining experience is pleasurable, unique and expedient. This business model will be easy to replicate in other markets. We look forward to working closely with our franchisees to ensure their success and happiness,” said Gulshan Kumar.

Most of the cooking is done in a Tandoor clay oven using fresh meats and produce. The restaurant is a nut-free facility and customizes its menu for individual tastes and dietary requirements such as vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free. Additionally, the business provides catering services for social and corporate events, the statement said.

“This is a unique concept that should attract both investors and operators who may not have a culinary background but would like to become involved in the growing Indian restaurant segment,” remarked Andy Klie, General Manager of Franchise Development Group, the company that is guiding Rangoli Grill through the franchising process. “Gulshan and Rashmi have worked diligently to develop their brand and created a turnkey system that will teach potential franchisees how to run a high quality, consumer-driven food establishment.”
