Palak Muchhal in tears while recording song for ‘Naamkarann’
Mumbai– Singer Palak Muchhal broke down while recording a song titled “Lori” for Mahesh Bhatt’s TV show “Naamkarann”.
“I was so touched by the lyrics of this song that when I started to record it, tears kept flowing until I had to take a break and calm myself down,” Palak said in a statement.
In fact, her mother who was present at the studio, as well as Bhatt too were seen getting emotional.
“’Lori’ is a gift that Mahesh sir has given to me. This song will always be every close to me since it is a beautiful piece of creation and it will be loved by public for sure,” Palak said in a statement.
The show, which will go on air on September 12 on Star Plus channel, revolves around the life of a young girl Avni. The story of the show is progressive and will be questioning the social stigmas of society.
It will explore the journey of a 10-year-old who carves her own identity and takes charge of her own destiny.
Amit Trivedi joins ‘The Voice India Kids’ team
Musician Amit Trivedi will turn battle advisor for singer Shekhar Ravjiani’s team on “The Voice India Kids”.
Known for creating mellifluous as well as peppy numbers, Trivedi will join the show to hone the singing skills of contestants from Team Shekhar, read a statement.
Trivedi said: “The talent is very good. At such a young age, they are doing a fabulous job. A few of the kids that I heard are really exceptional and I am sure they have a very bright future in the industry.”

Sonakshi Sinha’s ‘Beat pe booty’ moment
Sonakshi Sinha showcased her dance moves on the sets of dance reality show “Dance +”, and the actress says it was a fun experience.
Sonakshi, who came to promote her forthcoming film “Akira” on the Star Plus show, danced to the beats of “Beat pe booty” with director and super-judge Remo D’Souza.
“I was being challenged by Ekta Kapoor for this #BeatPeBooty challenge for ‘A Flying Jatt’, but I was waiting for the right moment. And the right moment came on the sets to do with the man behind the dance moves – Remo D’Souza. It was fun accepting the challenge with none other than the godfather of dance,” Sonakshi said in a statement.
Sonakshi’s presence not only motivated the contestants but also changed the aura of the show.
From showing off her dance moves on “Gandi baat” and “Chintaa taa chitaa” to singing on the song from “Akira” movie, Sonakshi brought a fun twist to the show.
Actors Nikitin Dheer and Kratika Sengar to Celebrate Wedding Anniversary
Mumbai–Actors Nikitin Dheer and Kratika Sengar, who will celebrate their second wedding anniversary on September 3, have taken time off from work for a vacation in Europe.
Nikitin, who is currently seen on Life OK show “Nagarjun- Ek Yoddha”, took to Instagram on Friday to share a photograph and wrote: “And our second anniversary holiday begins. Europe bound… Family like friends. Holiday mode.”
The actor, who is the son of veteran actor Pankaj Dheer, married Kratika in 2014. Kratika was last seen on screen in the show “Kasam Tere Pyaar Ki”.
Huge fan of Alia Bhatt: Ashrut Jain
Just like his role of Rajma Romeo in upcoming film “Sunshine Music Tours and Travels”, actor Ashrut Jain is a “huge fan” of Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt and wishes to meet her once.
In the film, which marks the directorial debut of Shailendra Singh, Rajma Romeo will be seen with a cutout of Alia with him throughout.
Ashrut in real life too is in awe of Alia and has written a ‘Alia Chalisa’ for her.
“I am a huge fan of Alia Bhatt. So when Shailendra sir told me about my character and his love for Alia Bhatt in the film, I was on the seventh cloud… Also, the Alia Chalisa that I have written for her is directly from my heart,” Ashrut said in a statement.
“I wish my dream of meeting Alia comes true soon. People go crazy in love, I started praying in love. I really want her to see my film,” he added.
Sonakshi judges Kapil Sharma’s mimicry talent
Actress Sonakshi Sinha turned into a judge to check the mimicry talent of comedian Kapil Sharma during a visit on the popular comedy show “The Kapil Sharma Show”.
Kapil mimics actor Sonakshi’s father Shatrughan Sinha in one of the sections of the show.
So, Sonakshi, who appeared on the Sony Entertainment Television show to promote her forthcoming film “Akira”, took the chance to test his skills.
According to a source from the channel, as soon as she came to the stage, she said she has been watching all his mimicry acts and pulled Kapil’s leg by saying that he moves his hands too much while mimicking Shatrughan.
“Sonakshi also found his overall body language extremely funny. The way Sonakshi started pinpointing Kapil’s each and every movement while mimicking her father left everyone present on the sets in splits,” the source added.
