SUDBURY, MA- Sudbury’s premier restaurant of both North and South Indian cuisine, Paani, has launched catering services for special occasions, corporate events and weddings in time for the 2021 holiday season, and into 2022 and beyond.
This step forward for the restaurant is led by former Boston television producer and host during the 1980s and 1990, Vimi Verma.
Bringing authentic North and South Indian cuisine and delicacies to Sudbury for over a decade, Paani has expanded those services to world-class catering, including on-site, fresh dosa creation for events spanning from 30 to 300 people.
Paani is the brainchild of former Boston television producer and host of the weekly show Asian Entertainment TV, Verma.
Ms. Verma, who had started her weekly show in 1981 and ran it through 2000, said that after a lot of thinking she started the first incarnation of Paani: a small 19-seat Indian restaurant in Sudbury, MA in 2009.
“The restaurant was too small and there was always a line,” recalled Verma.
In December of 2019, Ms. Verma relocated Paani to a beautiful location in Sudbury that seats 75 guests and an outside patio seating for 35. The restaurant is located at 530 A Boston Post Road in Sudbury.
“The launch of our catering services is the next step forward for Paani,” Ms. Verma said. “I enjoy the restaurant business, and I am excited to bring our offerings to weddings, events and more. This is my passion.”
Restaurant is a tough business to run and manage for anyone in 2021. Verma, however, enjoys the business and serving the guests.
Paani, the only woman-owned Indian restaurant in Greater Boston, has a bar, ambiance and an open layout with big windows looking outside. It offers buffets for lunch and a variety of food menus for dinner, including soups and salads, vegetarian and non-vegetarian appetizers and main course entries and seafood.
