Hyderabad– Six students from Telangana have returned safely to India from Iran and Israel, amid escalating tensions in the Middle East. According to officials, another group of seven citizens is expected to arrive later on Monday.

The returning students—four from Iran and two from Israel—landed in New Delhi late Sunday night. Telangana Bhavan in the capital facilitated their safe transit and onward journey.

The students had pre-booked flights to Hyderabad and were seen off by Telangana Bhavan officials at 5:30 a.m. on Monday. During their brief stay in Delhi, officials ensured their comfort and provided logistical support until departure.

The Telangana government is actively monitoring the ongoing crisis and coordinating with relevant agencies to support its citizens stranded abroad. The state administration is working closely with the Ministry of External Affairs and Indian embassies in the region.

The next group of Telangana citizens, who managed to cross into Amman, Jordan, from Israel, is scheduled to arrive in New Delhi later today. Arrangements are underway to receive them at the airport and assist them at Telangana Bhavan.

Meanwhile, several Telangana residents still in Israel are experiencing delays due to the temporary closure of Israeli airspace. Despite the disruptions, officials reiterated the state government’s commitment to ensuring the safe return of all affected citizens.

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has directed officials to provide full assistance, including accommodation and travel arrangements, for every Telangana resident returning from the region.

Citizens have been advised to stay in contact with official government helplines and to avoid misinformation circulating on unofficial platforms.

Last week, the Telangana government activated a dedicated helpline at Telangana Bhavan in response to the missile attacks and rising tensions between Iran and Israel.

“The government stands firmly with every Telangana citizen during this difficult time and will continue to provide all necessary support,” an official statement read. (Source: IANS)
