WOBURN, MA– Rishika Pal was crowned Miss India New England and Meenakshi Dewan bagged Mrs. India New England title this weekend in the regional pageant held at Hilton Woburn hotel in Woburn, MA.
A total of 32 girls participated in the pageant from four New England states. The pageant was organized and hosted by pageant director Ruchika Arora.
“The pageant has witnessed several success stories in eight years, and saw transformation of New England as a talent hub where opportunity to shine became available to girls and women of Indian heritage,” said Ms. Arora. “This year’s pageant is very special as we added state of Maine and talent round for all categories. We also crowned Classic Mrs. India New England.”
The winners from New England will participate in Miss India USA, Mrs. India USA and Miss India Teen USA pageant, which will be held in Houston, Texas on Jan 9th and 10th. The national pageant is organized by Dharmatma Saran and Neelam Saran, who have been hosting the pageant in the United States and worldwide for past 37 years.
