Belgium’s diamond trade leaders meet Modi

Brussels– A delegation of leaders of Belgium’s diamond trade called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi here on Wednesday.

Board members of the Association of Diamond Traders called on Modi, external affairs ministry spokesman Vikas Swarup said. Antwerp in Belgium is the hub of the global diamond trade.

Of the 20,000 strong Indian diaspora in Belgium, around 2,500 are involved in the diamond trade.

Wednesday is the first day of Modi’s three-nation tour that will also take him to the US and Saudi Arabia.
