Priyanka Chopra, Javier Bardem Present International Feature Film Oscar as Bardem Voices “Free Palestine”

LOS ANGELES — Actor Priyanka Chopra joined Javier Bardem on stage at the 98th Academy Awards to present the Oscar for Best International Feature Film during the ceremony at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.

The award went to Norway’s “Sentimental Value,” directed by Joachim Trier. The film follows a once-acclaimed filmmaker attempting to reconnect with his family while working on a new film project, exploring a strained relationship between a father and his two daughters as they confront unresolved family history and artistic legacy.

As the presenters took the stage, Bardem briefly addressed the audience and said, “Free Palestine,” drawing attention during the segment.

For the ceremony, Chopra wore a custom strapless white gown by Dior that reflected a classic Hollywood style with modern detailing. The dress featured a structured corset-style bodice that accentuated the waist and flowed into a long skirt with a dramatic thigh-high slit.

Black-and-white feathered or tulle detailing along the slit added texture and contrast to the monochrome design.

Chopra paired the gown with diamond and emerald jewelry, including a statement necklace and matching earrings. Her look was completed with finger-wave curls, luminous makeup and subtle smoky eye accents, evoking an Old Hollywood aesthetic.

She attended the ceremony with her husband Nick Jonas, who wore a classic black tuxedo that complemented her outfit.

The 98th Academy Awards ceremony is being held at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles and is hosted by late-night comedian Conan O’Brien, who also hosted the previous year’s event.

Director Ryan Coogler’s film “Sinners” leads this year’s nominations with 16 nods, including best picture, best director and best actor. (Source: IANS)
