Performing Artists at the New England Choice Awards Gala This Friday

BURLINGTON, MA—In addition to showcasing best of the best at New England Choice Awards gala, the organizers also introduce the area’s best artists and the performers. This years performers are: singer Valentino Almeida, dancer Sapna Krishnan, and poet Sunayana Kachroo.

About 400 business and community leaders will attend the gala this Friday at Burlington Marriott Hotel in Burlington, MA.

Valentino Almeida

Valentino Almeida, Ph.D.

Singer

Valentino is a singer. In addition, he has a Ph.D. in Chemistry and is a pharmaceutical scientist by profession. He has been contributing his knowledge and drug development skills to the biotech and pharmaceutical industry for the past 20 years.

He is very passionate about music and has a diploma in music from the University of Mumbai. Since then, has been singing and performing for several years on stage and in studios. In the New England area, Valentino is well known singer, who has performed for several charity events, singing competitions, radio programs.

Recently Valentino has started his own YouTube channel that is gaining quick popularity where he has released several new compositions and cover albums. Please “Subscribe” if you haven’t already! Valentino is super excited to enthrall his audience with his performance at the NECA awards ceremony and celebrate the achievements of all award recipients at the same time.

Sunayana Kachroo

Poet, Film Writer, Lyricist

Sunayana Kachroo is an award-winning Producer, Poet, Film writer, Lyricist and a Columnist. Her work has been vast and impressive, encompassing Poetry, Films, collaboration with other artist including musicians, dancers and poets. She has written for various award-winning movies, which have been screened at many prestigious film festivals like Cannes, MAMI and Austin Film Festival.

She was a featured Poet and Panelist at the prestigious “Bangalore Literature Festival- 2014 and Harvard University’s – Annual Poetry Reading event -sponsored by South Asia Institute. She has been invited by Indian Consulate General many times to recite her poems.

Lasya School of Dance

Sapna Krishnan is the artistic director of the Lasya School of Dance, where she has been teaching and promoting the rich art form of Bharatanatyam in the New England area for the past 20 years. An accomplished dancer, she brings a unique flair to her choreography, seamlessly blending tradition with creativity.

Over the years, Ms. Krishnan has spearheaded several large-scale productions in support of non-profit organizations such as the Akshaya Patra Foundation, UMass Pancreatic Cancer Care and Research Program, SEWA International, CRY America, and the Malabar Rehab Center for the Handicapped in Kerala, India. Through these initiatives, she has helped raise over $100,000 for charitable causes. In addition to her contributions to philanthropy, Ms. Krishnan has nurtured over 300 students, conducted arangetrams of more than 60 students and guided her students through over 1,000 performances across stages in New England. Her unwavering dedication to the art form, to her students and the broader community continues to inspire and uplift those who witness her artistry.
