Nora Fatehi Cheers for Morocco at Her First FIFA World Cup Match

Mumbai — Nora Fatehi attended her first FIFA World Cup match and proudly supported Morocco as the North African side faced Brazil in a Group C clash.
The Bollywood performer shared a series of videos and photos from the Brazil-Morocco match at the FIFA World Cup 2026. In the posts, Fatehi was seen carrying the Moroccan flag and singing the national anthem before kickoff.
“Morocco Vs Brazil. 1st game of the Worldcup,” she wrote in the caption.
The match ended in a 1-1 draw, with Ismael Saibari scoring for Morocco and Vinicius Junior equalizing for Brazil. Five-time champion Brazil and Qatar 2022 semifinalist Morocco shared the points after two standout goals in the Group C contest.
Morocco, which became the first African nation to reach a World Cup semifinal in 2022, held Brazil to a draw in the closely watched match.
Fatehi, who is of Moroccan descent, also performed at the second opening ceremony in Toronto, where she headlined the event and performed the official World Cup song “Siir Siir.”
Other performers at the Toronto ceremony included Vegedream and Sanjoy. Jessie Reyez and Alessia Cara also performed before kickoff, while Palestinian artist Elyanna appeared as part of the opening ceremony lineup.
Fatehi rose to fame through special dance appearances in Telugu films such as Temper, Baahubali: The Beginning and Kick 2. She has also appeared in Malayalam films including Double Barrel and Kayamkulam Kochunni.
She later became widely known to Hindi-language audiences after appearing on Bigg Boss in 2015 and Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa in 2016. Her film credits include Street Dancer 3D and Bhuj: The Pride of India. (Source: IANS)
