ANDOVER, MA—Miss India New England Pageant, which has produced Miss India Worldwide and Punjabi and Bollywood actor Monica Gill, is back this Sunday, Nov. 26, 2023, at the Double Tree by Hilton in Andover MA.
The show will start at noon and is expected to end at 4:00 PM. The format is new this year with many titles and crowns added, organizers said in a statement.
Miss India New England show will also feature an international designer of Indian-origin from Hollywood: Shekhar Rahate, who is a couturier who will showcase his glamorous collection of evening gowns, according to organizers.
“Come to watch grand talent showcase, flowing evening gowns and ethnic Indian dress fashion, and to be among glitterati to celebrate our Indian heritage in a vibrant way,” organizers said in a statement.
The Miss India New England pageant has produced Miss India Worldwide and Punjabi and Bollywood actor Monica Gill, and first Mrs. India Worldwide Namita Dodwadkar.
The pageant is affiliated with 41-year old Miss India USA and Worldwide Pageant organization, which is the largest pageant system in the world for girls of Indian heritage.
Ruchika Arora is State Director of ‘Miss India USA’ pageant and has organized cultural events and fashion shows since 2010 that have been around as a platform to perform, meet people and showcase talent or simply practice some stage confidence skills.
New England winners will be eligible to participate in Miss, Miss Teen and Mrs. India USA pageant. Organized by Neelam and Dharmatma Saran of IFC, it is the largest and oldest Indian pageant in the United States.
