Led by Vishal Patel, Triveni Bio Leases Top Floor at Watertown Life Sciences Hub, According to BBJ Report
Well-funded biotech Triveni Bio to expand operations under Vishal Patel, leasing 18,000 sq. ft. top floor at Watertown’s 100 Forge, strengthening Greater Boston’s life sciences hub
Watertown, MA — Triveni Bio, led by CEO Vishal Patel, has signed a lease for the top floor of 100 Forge Road, a key life sciences building at Arsenal Yards in Watertown, Massachusetts, further cementing the city’s position as a growing biotech hub, according to a report by the Boston Business Journal (BBJ).
BBJ reported that Triveni will occupy the ninth floor of the nine-story, 165,600-square-foot building developed by Boylston Properties. Each floor spans roughly 18,000 to 20,000 square feet. The move will place Triveni alongside several established biotech tenants at 100 Forge, including Mariana Oncology, Vigil Neuroscience, and Remix Therapeutics.
According to the BBJ report, Mariana Oncology was acquired in a $1 billion deal by Novartis, while Vigil Neuroscience was acquired by Sanofi in a transaction valued at around $470 million. Despite those acquisitions, both companies have maintained or expanded their presence in the Watertown area.
Boylston Properties still has available space on the second and eighth floors, BBJ reported. Mark Deschenes, president of Boylston Properties, noted, “Despite broader industry headwinds, companies with strong science, strong backing, and strong leadership continue to advance. We are grateful Triveni chose 100 Forge for its next chapter, and we believe their presence further strengthens Watertown’s position as a leading, resilient life sciences hub in Greater Boston,” according to BBJ.
Triveni Bio, currently based at 99 Coolidge Avenue in Watertown, plans to relocate to 100 Forge as part of its expansion strategy. The company has raised over $200 million in funding, including a $115 million Series B round and a $92 million Series A round.
Vishal Patel, Chief Executive Officer of Triveni Bio, brings more than two decades of expertise in life sciences and healthcare. Before joining Triveni, he held senior roles at Flagship Pioneering, Novartis, and Merck KGaA. In addition to his corporate experience, Patel serves as a reservist in the U.S. Navy and sits on the board of Leonardo Electronics. He earned a PhD in biological chemistry and molecular pharmacology from Harvard University, where he was a National Science Foundation Fellow, and holds an MBA from MIT.
Triveni Bio is a clinical-stage biotech company developing treatments for immune and inflammatory diseases, with its lead program focused on atopic dermatitis, commonly known as eczema. BBJ reported that the company’s well-capitalized pipeline and leadership under Patel have positioned it to attract top-tier lab space in a competitive life sciences market.
Watertown continues to grow as a biotech hub, recording 11 new leases in 2025, trailing only Cambridge in the Greater Boston area. Nearby developments, including 66 Galen Street, are nearing full occupancy with tenants such as LabShares and NanoDx, BBJ reported.
