WALTHAM, MA—INDIA New England News, one of the nation’s largest Indian-American news and video magazines serving the South Asian community, announced that Kanan Sachdeva, Northwestern Mutual have become the exclusive sponsor of the newspaper’s prestigious 20 Under 20 list for 2018.
The list published annually by INDIA New England News. The selection of the talented recipients is based on their academic achievements, extracurricular activities, athletic involvement, entrepreneurship and participation in the community service, volunteerism or skills in writing, arts and music, among other factors.
“I have always been an advocate of education and financial literacy. For that reason, it is an honor to have the opportunity to sponsor the talented and passionate young adults in our community,” said Ms. Sachdeva. “I am excited to recognize this group, who is excelling not only in academics, but in athletics, community service, technology, arts, culture and so much more. I believe their young minds will define the future of their generation and our country through groundbreaking and innovative ideas.”
Ms. Sachdeva is a financial adviser at Northwestern Mutual. Having been with the company since 2011, she has worked with clients from all walks of life, and has dedicated her career to thoughtful, comprehensive financial planning for her diverse client base. As a financial advisor, Ms. Sachdeva provides guidance and solutions with the goal of having positive impact on client financial security.
She is an active member of The India Society of Worcester (ISW) and sits on the Board of Asian-American Advisory Council for Northwestern Mutual. She is a community advocate of educating children on financial literacy.
