Kailash Kher Shares Throwback Photo, Reflects on Early Musical Journey

MUMBAI, India — Singer Kailash Kher shared a throwback photo from his younger days on social media, giving fans a glimpse into his early years as a musician.
The image shows a young Kher holding a guitar, likely during a practice session. He captioned the post, “Low-key vibes, high-key soul,” along with guitar and sparkle emojis. Fans reacted warmly, filling the comments section with heart emojis.
Kher’s musical journey began early. He left home at the age of 14 to pursue training in classical and folk music, believing that isolation would help him focus on his craft. To support himself, he also taught music while continuing his education.
He started his career by recording jingles for television and radio before making his playback debut with the song “Rabba Ishq Na Hove” in the 2003 film Andaaz. He rose to prominence with “Allah Ke Bande” from Waisa Bhi Hota Hai Part II.
More recently, the Padma Shri awardee released a devotional track titled “Jogi,” inspired by Adi Shankaracharya. The song explores spiritual themes rooted in the Bhakti tradition and reflects on the philosopher’s teachings.
Speaking about the track, Kher described it as a deeply personal experience.
“The same emotion felt by saints and mystics for centuries lives in this music. The vision of Adi Shankaracharya reminds us that true dharma is timeless — it continues to thrive in every seeker walking the path of truth,” he said. (Source: IANS)
