IIT AGNE to Host Panel Discussion on Boston’s Robotics Revolution on April 21

CAMBRIDGE, MA– The IIT Association of Greater New England, known as IIT AGNE, will host a panel discussion on Boston’s Robotics Revolution on April 21 in Cambridge, MA.

The panelists are:  Tom Ryden, Executive Director, MassRobotics; Marc Raibert, Robotics pioneer, Founder and CEO of Boston Dynamics; Sangbae Kim, Director of the Biomimetic Robotics Laboratory and Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering, MIT; Shiraj Sen, Lead scientist, GE Global Research, GE Robotics; Krishna Srikrishna, Senior Member of Technical Staff, iRobot.

The panel will be moderated by Vivek Badami, Consulting Engineer at General Electric. “Robots are permeating our lives in a variety of ways: from consumer robots that clean our houses to industrial robots that make our cars; from robots that take care of our elderly to drones that fight our wars,” organizers said in a statement. “Should we fear them? Probably not. But we need to better understand their impact on our work and future.”

Boston is the second fastest growing robotics technology cluster in the United States. The panel of leading experts and robotics practitioners will educate on the state of the technology and what the future holds.
