Health Talk With Dr. Neela Gandhi on Healthy Teeth, Care for Gums and Beautiful Smile

WALTHAM, MA—With more than 43,000 Americans diagnosed with oral or pharyngeal cancer each year, healthy teeth and gums are very important. In an exclusive video interview with INE MultiMedia, Dr. Neela Gandhi talks about how to take care of your teeth, gums and beautiful smile.Dr. Gandhi, DMD, BDS, FAGD, a dentist at Westwood, MA-based Sahani Dental and a Fellow at the Academy of General Dentistry, will also speak provide free dental screening at the upcoming Mega Health Expo on April 19, 2015 at Burlington Marriott Hotel in Burlington, MA. The event is free for attendees, and is and is organized by INE MultiMedia, Inc., a non-profit company that promotes health, education and empowerment.

In addition to providing free dental screening at the Expo, Dr. Gandhi will talk about top ten tips for a healthy and beautiful smile.

“Often, we’re tempted to avoid dental care because our mouth feels just fine. But preventative dental care is an essential part of a healthy lifestyle. Not only can we catch things that you might not be aware of, but we also prevent problems from progressing to a dangerous and expensive stage,” Dr. Gandhi said. “We will talk about importance of regular dental check-ups for the health of your gums, protection from cavities, teeth whitening for a brighter smile, importance of oral cancer screenings, options to straighten your teeth, good nutrition for healthy teeth, prevention and treatment of worn down teeth and options for replacement of missing teeth.”

Dr. Gandhi received her BDS(Bachelor of Dental Surgery)degree from University of Manchester, UK, in 1994 and relicensed in the USA at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 2006 where she earned her DMD. She is a general dentist and has been practicing for almost 20 years and emphasizes on Cosmetic and Esthetic Dentistry and is Invisalign certified.

Dr. Gandhi is an active member of the American Dental Association, Massachusetts Dental Society (MDS) and is a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry which involves taking over 500 CEUs and passing a written exam. She is very active in organized dentistry and is the current trustee of the Metropolitan District Dental Society. She has been recognized as 2010 William McKenna Volunteer award recipients by the Massachusetts Dental Society. She has been reelected as President of a local non-profit community organization called United India Association of New England where she helps organize cultural events for the community. She was a finalist in the India New England Woman of the Year Award in 2011 and 2012.
