WALTHAM, MA– Twenty-five million Americans, including seven million children in the United States, suffer from asthma. In an exclusive Health Talk interview series, Dr. Meera Subramaniam, MD, pediatric pulmonary specialist at Children’s Hospital in Boston and an assistant professor of pediatrics at Harvard Medical School, talks about symptoms, diagnosis and treatment of asthma, especially among children.

Asthma is a chronic inflammatory disease of the airways characterized by variable and recurring symptoms, reversible airflow obstruction and bronchospasm. Common symptoms include wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, and shortness of breath.

Dr. Subramaniam will also be speaking at the upcoming Mega Health & Wellness Expo, which will be held on April 19 at Burlington Marriott Hotel in Burlington, MA, and is organized by INE MultiMedia, Inc., a non-profit company that promotes health and education and empowerment.
