CAMBIDGE, MA–Harvard Business School and Harvard Kennedy School are hosting the 17th edition of the India Conference at Harvard University on 15-16th February 2020.
The theme of the conference this year is “India 2020: Foresight, a play on India 2020: Hindsight,” where renowned speaker will present their views analyzing various sectors, industries, opportunities and challenges facing India in the decade that has passed, as well as what the next 10 years are likely to hold, organizers said in a statement.

The India Conference at Harvard is the most celebrated India focused event hosted in the US, attended by about 1000 professionals, students and faculty of educational institutions and 120 eminent speakers from India.
The conference attracts esteemed speakers and guests from across industrial, entertainment, media, sports, political and other spheres of India. In the past, speakers such as Omar Abdullah, Sachin Pilot, Barkha Dutt, Sadhguru, Amartya Sen, Aruna Roy, Azim Premji, Kamaal Hassan, Sabyasachi Mukherjee, and Shashi Tharoor among many others have attended and spoken at the event.
This year, the Conference boasts of a stellar line up of speakers including celebrated actor Anupam Kher, former international cricket coach Gary Kirsten, media baron Aroon Purie, economist Arvind Subramaniam, senior politicians Jayant Sinha and Varun Gandhi, film maker Kabir Khan, CEO of Flipkart Kalyan Krishnamurthy, Invest India CEO Deepak Bagla, standup comedian Vir Das, and leading technology entrepreneurs including Ritesh Agarwal of Oyo and Girish Mathrubootham of Freshworks.
The conversation will pan various topics including the India’s economic model, Implications of the National Register of Citizens and The Citizenship Amendment Act, Ease of doing digital business in India, Indian youth and their political re-alignment, Experiences and outlook of Muslim communities, Expectation vs Reality of Investing in India, India’s role in fighting Climate Change, Building businesses for the next 500 million digital consumers, Journey of global technology giants being built out of India, Diversity, inclusion and the change face of activism, amongst many more. Moderated by leading industry experts and senior Harvard faculty, the conversations will spark candid opinions from speakers who are thought leaders in their fields and stir engaging debates.
The conference pans two days, with the first day, 15th February, hosted by the Kennedy School, and the second day, 16th February, hosted by the Business School.
