Free Adult Day Care Health Center Opens in Nashua, NH

NASHUA, NH—Global Adult Day Care Health Center, a 6,500-square-foot free adult day care center, will open to the public on Monday, Jan. 16, in Nashua, NH. The owners will host a brief inaugural pooja ceremony a day before on Sunday, Jan. 15.

“It will be will be completely free to all participants, including transporation and vegetarian cuisine,” said Kirit Malaviya, program director at Global Adult Day Care Health Center, whose owner is Ashok Patel, a New Hampshire resident. “It is funded by Medicare and Medicaid New Hampshire.”

Malaviya told INDIA New England News that facility is located at 472 Amhurst Street, Unit 19-20, in Nashua. It is licensed for 90 participants for 65 year-olds and above. The facility will remain open from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm from Monday through Friday. It will eventually be open Saturdays as well.

“Thirty people have already registered in the program,” Malaviya said. “We will provide full breakfast and lunch to all participants. In addition, we will have a resident nurse on the premises to help with medicine.”

He said the facility is open to everyone who is qualified by Medicaid. Foreign citizens, who have lived in the state for five years and are 65 years old or above are also accepted in the program.

“Global Adult Day Care helps participants to improve their overall health by assisting in their physical, psychological, social. Nutritional services. Global also helps families and care givers by lifting some of their responsibilities,” Global Adult Day Care said in a statement.
