CHELMSFORD, MA– Dwarka Nath Chadha, a former president of the India Association of Greater Boston (IAGB) and an author, passed away on Jan. 13, 2025. A resident of Hopkinton, MA, he was 83.
Mr. Chadha is survived by his loving wife Santosh; two daughters Sabina and Mona Chadha.
At the age of 28, Mr. Chadha ventured from his homeland of India to the United States to pursue his career aspirations, according to his official obituary. He had 42 years in prestigious positions in executive roles in the pharmaceutical industry at Lyphomed and Fujisawa.
In his personal life, Mr. Chadha served as President of the Indian Association of Greater Boston and led the Indian community’s active participation in Boston politics. In his retirement, he wrote 2 books, “Suitcase” and “Touchdown.” He enjoyed contributing to Hopkinton community events as Vice President of the Hopkinton Lions Club. He adored spending time with his family and friends, cooking and being a “foodie.”
Known for his cheerful smile, kind heart and sense of humor, Dwarka was always willing to lend a helpful hand and gave continuously and selflessly to both his family and life-long friends. He will be honored and missed.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, January 16, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the Morris-Johnston Funeral Home, 40 Main Street, Southborough, MA 01772.
Religious Services and Eulogy will be held on Friday, January 17, 2025, at 10:00AM at Rural Cemetery, 180 Grove Street, Worcester, MA 01605.
