Sara Ali Khan ‘salutes the real heroes in uniform & their families’ this Army Day

Mumbai– Sara Ali Khan will next be seen in the historical drama “Sky Force”. Wishing everyone this ‘Army Day’, the diva took to the stories section of her IG account and posted pictures posing with our female jawans.

The ‘Kedarnath’ star also penned a note that went, “To the real heroes in uniform and their selfless and supportive families at home- On this #ArmyDay was salute you. Your sacrifice, bravery, and courage inspire us all.”

Ever since the trailer for “Sky Force” reached the audience, viewers have been looking forward to seeing Sara Ali Khan’s layered performance. The stunner will be seen playing a character that represents the quiet, unyielding strength of families waiting for their loved ones to return from the frontlines.

Sara Ali Khan will be seen as the hopeful yet strong better half of an army official played by Veer Pahariya in her next. The highly acclaimed drama will also see Akshay Kumar in the role of Wing Commander K.O. Ahuja, and Nimrat Kaur as his wife. In addition to this, Sharad Kelkar, Mohit Chauhan, and Manish Chaudhari have also been roped in to play important roles in “Sky Forces”.

Talking about the technical crew of the drama, the film will be produced by Jio Studios, along with Maddock Films and Leo Films UK Production. The movie will have music composed by Tanishk Bagchi in collaboration with Justin Varghese. A. Sreekar Prasad is responsible for the film’s editing, whereas cinematography has been performed by Santhana Krishnan Ravichandran.

Furthermore, Sara Ali Khan will also star in Anurag Basu’s “Metro In Dino”. With Aditya Roy Kapur as the lead, the project will also star Anupam Kher, Ali Fazal, Kay Kay Menon, Pankaj Tripathi, Konkona Sen Sharma, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Rahul Bose, and Neena Gupta in key roles, along with others.

Additionally, Sara Ali Khan is also reported to have collaborated with Ayushmann Khurrana for an untitled flick.

Akshay Kumar welcomes Tabu on ‘Bhooth Bangla’ sets with a hug

Mumbai– Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar welcomed actress Tabu on the sets of the upcoming movie ‘Bhooth Bangla’.

On Wednesday, the makers of the film took to their Instagram, and shared a picture of Akshay extending a warm welcome to the actress and the two embraced each other. The two icons of Bollywood have consistently won hearts with their performances, and their reunion after more than 2 decades is naturally anticipated. Akshay and Tabu previously shared screen space in the cult-classic ‘Hera Pheri’.

Sharing the picture, the makers wrote in the caption, “”Some things get better and iconic with time. @priyadarshan.official , @akshaykumar and @tabutiful are back in action after 25 years for #BhootBangla in Jaipur”.

The excitement around ‘Bhooth Bangla’ has been at its peak ever since its announcement. While the film is one of the most awaited horror comedies, it promises several elements to look forward to. Among these, its ensemble cast is the most crucial aspect that makes this film even more special.

Moreover, the film will also reunite the iconic team director Priyadarshan, Akshay Kumar, and Tabu, who last worked together on ‘Hera Pheri’. This has undoubtedly heightened the anticipation for the film, which is coming with such a stellar cast and intriguing promise.

The film is directed by Priyadarshan, and produced by Shobha Kapoor and Ektaa R Kapoor under the banner of Balaji Telefilms and Akshay Kumar’s production house, Cape of Good Films. The film is co-produced by Faara Sheikh and Vedant Baali.

The story is written by Akash A Kaushik and screenplay by Rohan Shankar, Abilash Nair and Priyadarshan. The dialogues are by Rohan Shankar. The current schedule of the film is underway in Jaipur.

‘Bhooth Bangla’ is slated for its theatrical release on April 2, 2026.

Urvashi Rautela: Dance with Nandamuri Balakrishna was not just a performance for me

Mumbai– Actress Urvashi Rautela, currently in the spotlight for her song “Dabidi Dibidi”, shared that dancing alongside Nandamuri Balakrishna was more than just a performance for her—it was a celebration of art, dedication, and respect for the craft.

Chitrangda Singh shares a glimpse of new ‘lunch guest on set’

Mumbai– Actress Chitangda Singh shared a glimpse of a visitor she had on sets during lunch time.

Chitrangda took to her Instagram stories, where she shared a video of a monkey sitting having a banana on the set.

The actress can be heard whispering: “He got a banana… His mouth is already full, look at him eat my god.”

The actress, whose latest big screen outing was in the Akshay Kumar-starrer “Khel Khel Mein”, did not reveal what she was shooting for.

It was announced last year that Chitrangda has joined the cast of “Housefull 5” starring Akshay. She will be seen sharing screen space with the “Khiladi” star once again after “Desi Boyz” and “Khel Khel Mein”.

The first installment of the film released in 2010, which had Akshay, Riteish Deshmukh, Arjun Rampal, Lara Dutta, Deepika Padukone and late star Jiah Khan. Two years later, the second installment was released. A standalone sequel to Housefull and also an uncredited remake of the 1998 Malayalam film “Mattupetti Machan.” The first two parts were helmed by Sajid Khan.

The third and the fourth installment was directed by Farhad Samji and the fifth film Housefull 5 is directed by Tarun Mansukhani. The fifth installment also stars Fardeen Khan, Pooja Hegde and Riteish.

Priyanka Chopra says she’s proud of beautiful film ‘Anuja’

Mumbai– Actress Priyanka Chopra says she is proud of the “beautiful film” “Anuja”,in which she serves as an executive producer.

Priyanka took to her Instagram stories, where she shared a snapshot of a news article from variety.com, which had the title “Netflix Acquires ‘Anuja,’ Oscar-Shortlisted Short Film Backed by Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Mindy Kaling and Guneet Monga Kapoor”.

The Indian actress captioned it: “Proud of this beautiful film”.

As per the article on the publication, streaming giant Netflix has landed worldwide streaming rights to “Anuja,” the Oscar-shortlisted live-action short that counts Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Mindy Kaling and Academy Award winner Guneet Monga Kapoor among its backers.

Directed by Adam J. Graves “Anuja” tells the tale of a 9-year-old title character, who works in a back-alley garment factory with her older sister Palak. The narrative follows the young protagonist as she faces a decision that will impact both her future and her family.

The short, developed in partnership with Mira Nair’s Salaam Baalak Trust, features Sajda Pathan, in a leading role. The production team spans Graves Films, Shine Global Inc (Oscar winners “War/Dance” and “Inocente”), Krushan Naik Films and Salaam Baalak Trust.

Guneet said of ‘Anuja’ that it is a story of unparalleled courage, a film made with a lot of heart. Director Adam J. Graves delivers a message through an empowered and entertaining lens.

Alia Bhatt plays pickleball as she balances motherhood and work

Mumbai– Bollywood star Alia Bhatt, who was recently seen in ‘Jigra’, was spotted playing pickleball in the city. She was playing a doubles game with actor Aditya Seal in her team.

Of late, the actress has been juggling work, motherhood and fitness by engaging in sporting activity to keep herself fit and active.

Earlier, the actress dropped pictures from her New Year celebrations as she took to her Instagram, and shared pictures from an undisclosed location. The pictures featured her husband, actor Ranbir Kapoor, their daughter, Raha Kapoor, her mother Soni Razdan, director Ayan Mukerji, her mother-in-law Neetu Kapoor, and her sister-in-law Riddhima Kapoor Sahni.

She wrote in the caption, “2025: where love leads & the rest just follows…!! happy new year all”.

Prior to this, the actress was spotted at the Versova jetty in Mumbai, as she got down from the boat and took an autorickshaw. She was seen wearing an oversized striped shirt and a pair of wenge coloured pants.

Of late, many celebrities are opting for jetty rides from Versova to shooting spots in the Madh Island area of Mumbai as it saves time compared to the road ride of almost 90 minutes. Other actors like the Kannada superstar Yash, and Kiara Advani were also seen taking the jetty in order to reach the shooting spots.

Alia kickstarted the month of December by installing a Christmas tree at her home. The actress took to the Stories of her Instagram and shared a video which showed the Christmas tree.

The Christmas tree was adorned with ornaments bearing the names of her family, husband Ranbir Kapoor and their daughter Raha, who turned 2 years old last month.

She wrote on the video, “And it’s up”.

December is a special month for Alia and Ranbir as they also participate in the customary Christmas celebrations of the Kapoor family which takes place at Kunal Kapoor’s (the elder son of late actors Shashi Kapoor and Jennifer Kendal) house. (IANS)
