BOSTON—Fatima Paruk, chief medical officer at Allscripts Analytics, has been named one of The Most Powerful Women in Healthcare IT by Health Data Management. Paruk, along with 74 other women, will be honored at Health Data Management’s first-ever program to highlight influential women in the industry. The event will be held in on May 12 in Boston.
Allscripts is a healthcare information technology solutions firm that advances clinical, financial and operational results.
The awards are broken into three categories: thought leaders, provider/payer executives and CIOs/IT leaders, according to the organizers.
The day-long program in Boston is both an awards ceremony for the women who are driving healthcare technology and innovation forward and a day of professional development and mentoring for all women in the healthcare IT world.
Keynote speakers at the event include:
- Eileen Pollack, the author of “The Only Woman in the Room: Why Science is Still a Boys Club,” and the novels Breaking and Entering and Paradise, New York, and more.
- Joan Y. Reede, MD, Dean for Diversity and Community Partnership and an associate professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School.
Panels at the event will include Women in Healthcare IT Leadership Winners Panel; Optimization with an Integrated IT Strategy; Executive Career Development: Evolving as a Leader; Population Health; How to Most Effectively Expedite Change Within Your Own Organization; Forming Successful Partnerships in Healthcare IT; and Finding Improvements and Moving the Needle in the Age of Value-Based Care.
The event will be at the Sheraton Boston Hotel.
