Presented by Saregama India and CTR Shows, the tour marks a notable collaboration between a veteran Bollywood playback icon and a leading Indian-American vocalist — a pairing organizers say is a first of its kind for a major U.S. Bollywood concert series.
During the interview, Palakurthi-Juju described the upcoming performances as far more than traditional concerts, emphasizing the energy, humor, audience interaction, and musical nostalgia that have long defined Bhosle’s live shows.
She said audiences can expect a dynamic blend of classic Bollywood songs, entertaining storytelling, and Bhosle’s famous vocal mimicry performances, particularly his celebrated renditions inspired by Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan and other legendary singers.
Known for his extraordinary versatility, Bhosle has remained one of India’s most recognizable playback singers for decades, earning acclaim for both his singing and uncanny ability to recreate iconic Bollywood voices on stage.
Palakurthi-Juju spoke enthusiastically about sharing the stage with Bhosle, calling the tour a unique opportunity to connect generations of Bollywood music fans across the United States.
The tour will travel to multiple cities across the country, including Atlantic City, Vernon, Boston, Redwood City, Los Angeles, Dallas, Houston, Chicago, and Atlanta, with additional dates expected to be announced.
The current tour schedule includes:
- Atlantic City — May 23
- Vernon — May 24
- Boston — May 25
- Redwood City — May 29
- Placentia / Los Angeles — May 31
- Dallas — June 5
- Stafford / Houston — June 6

During the interview, Palakurthi-Juju also reflected on the emotional connection audiences continue to have with classic Bollywood music, noting that many songs performed during the tour carry deep personal memories for listeners across generations.
Boston-based Palakurthi-Juju has built an international music career spanning collaborations with some of the biggest names in Indian entertainment, including Bappi Lahiri, Javed Akhtar, Anu Malik, Salim-Sulaiman, Sonu Nigam, Kumar Sanu, Suresh Wadkar, and Ustads Rashid Khan and Nishat Khan.
Her work has also extended beyond Bollywood into international collaborations, including projects involving Snoop Dogg and globally recognized performers. In 2021, her VaxIndiaNow concert streamed live on CNN and featured appearances and performances from Sting, Gloria Estefan, the Bocellis, Shabana Azmi, and Anil Kapoor, among others.
Organizers say the current tour seeks to blend Bollywood nostalgia with contemporary stage entertainment while bringing together audiences from across the Indian diaspora.
Founded in 1902, Saregama India is considered India’s oldest music label and remains one of the country’s largest owners of Indian music copyrights across multiple languages. The company has expanded significantly into digital entertainment, film production, and streaming-era music platforms.
CTR Shows, based in New Jersey, has previously organized U.S. tours featuring several major Bollywood personalities and live performers.
Palakurthi-Juju said the upcoming concerts are designed to leave audiences not only entertained, but emotionally connected to the music and memories that have shaped generations of Bollywood fans.
