MARLBOROUGH, MA–Mata Amritanandamayi, affectionately known as Amma (Mother), renowned for her humanitarianism and spiritual leadership, will return to the Greater Boston area on July 31-Aug.2, 2024. Enjoy live music, meditation sessions, spiritual discourses, healing arts, and vegetarian cuisine.
Amma’s profound message is simple, yet profound: Love is our true essence. Through fostering love and compassion within ourselves, we have the power to ignite healing and harmony globally.
40 million people around the world have been embraced by Amma with the intent to release suffering and heal wounds. Many describe encountering an overwhelming sense of love and spiritual solace.
“When people come to see me, I understand their suffering,” Amma empathizes. “My aim is to offer solace and facilitate experiences of peace and love.”
Amma promotes selfless service and compassionate action through her global network, Embracing the World. She spearheads diverse humanitarian initiatives: from education and disaster relief to healthcare and environmental conservation.
During the inauguration of her multispecialty hospital, Prime Minister Modi praised the facility for its spiritual ethos—a testament to Amma’s holistic approach to healthcare.
Under Amma’s guidance, initiatives like Civil 20 (C20) India have reached record numbers, focusing on health, environment, and community empowerment. Amma’s leadership at C20 marked a historic milestone, emphasizing support for the world’s most vulnerable.
In the Boston area, inspired followers of Amma engage in critical service work where they have donated over 1,500 pairs of socks to Providence shelters and uplifting spirits at a Brookline nursing home through regular karaoke sessions, as well as working closely with local homeless shelters and food pantries.
All are welcome to attend Amma’s upcoming free programs, where participants can receive Amma’s personal blessing in the form of a hug, enjoy live music, meditation sessions, spiritual discourses, healing arts, and vegetarian cuisine.
Events will be held at Best Western Royal Trade Center, 181 Boston Post Rd. W., Marlborough, MA. Free events will be Wednesday and Thursday, July 31 and Aug 1 starting at 11:00 am continuing all day. A morning program will be held Friday, August 2 at 10:00 am and an evening session beginning at 7:00 pm.
In order to receive a free token for Amma’s embrace, please arrive at least 90 minutes before the program. Tokens might be limited.
