New Delhi– Errol Musk, father of Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk, has praised Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a “fantastic” leader and lauded India’s ascent on the global stage, highlighting its emergence as the world’s fourth-largest economy.
Currently visiting India, Errol Musk spoke exclusively to IANS, commending the nation’s rapid economic growth and its increasingly influential global role under Modi’s leadership.
“India is a world power. When you have the fourth-largest GDP in the world, you’re a world power—whether you like it or not,” Musk said. “India approaches this rise with humility, which is refreshing. The country has a great deal to offer the world.”
On Modi’s leadership, he added, “He is a fantastic leader. One of the best in the world right now. It’s always a pleasure to see him on television.”
Errol Musk’s comments come amid India’s ongoing economic expansion. According to the International Monetary Fund’s latest World Economic Outlook, India is set to surpass Japan in 2025 with a projected GDP of $4.19 trillion, becoming the fourth-largest economy globally.
The 79-year-old also expressed support for India’s green technology efforts. His visit is reportedly aimed at supporting the country’s development of sustainable technologies, including electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure.
Touching on regional issues, Musk weighed in on India-Pakistan tensions, stating, “If it is Pakistan causing the trouble, something needs to be done about it.” He also expressed concern for the people of Kashmir, urging an end to the suffering caused by terrorism in the region. (Source: IANS)
